Canterbury Cathedral

Canterbury Cathedral in Canterbury, Kent, is one of the oldest and most famous Christian structures in England. It forms part of a World Heritage Site.It is the Mother Church of the Worldwide Anglican Communion and seat of the Archbishop of Canterbury.

Founded in 597 AD, it houses a Romanesque Crypt, 12th century Quire and some of the oldest and most beautiful syained glass windows in the country. In 1170, Thomas Becket was murdered in the Cathedral, and ever since the Cathedral has attracted thousands of visitors.
