Medieval Malling History Walk
Sunday 5th February 2023 – 10:00 AM – 2:30 PM West Malling Railway Station,West Malling, Kent. (Sat Nav) – ME19 6HJ Meeting at West Malling station and heading through the picturesque old market town, past a medieval tower and onto Offham and then passed two churches including Ryarsh and then back into the town. Along the way we will be stopping for a picnic lunch (lunch not included). The walk will take approximately 4.5 hours (around 7.5 miles/12 km) / Walk type – circular. / Terrain – mixed, there are no particularly steep hills. Take time to visit the Kent Owl Academy who are not only home to owls, but you can also meet the Meerkat family too! If the weathers on side, you can also enjoy a fantastic owl flying demonstration. There’s an array of Farmer themed shows in our Big Top too (taking place three times a day!) – all undercover, and perfect for a little rest from exploring the site. Step back in time and visit the Vintage Village, from the Victorian Petts Farmhouse, through to WW2 Lenham Cottages, or enjoy the 1950s Sandling Farmhouse. There’s both indoor and outdoor play areas, fun farm rides, a fun wooden hunt with a sweet treat and the chance to get arty in our Paint-a-Pot studio.
