We at Clock Care Ltd specialise in clock repairs, conservation and restoration. We also provide certain services on certain antique clocks, such as: English Dial and Bracket Clocks, Carriage Clocks, Longcase Clocks, Mystery Clocks, French Clocks and Vienna Regulators. Being based in Tonbridge, we are in an ideal location to serve the people of Kent and the surrounding areas such as: Tunbridge Wells, Tenterden, Wadhurst, Northiam, Sevenoaks, Maidstone, Dartford, Crawley, Orpington and Oxted.
The founder of Clock Care Ltd is John Mathieson. He is fully qualified and trained in this particular area. He has previously been to college studying conservation and restoration of antique clocks, and then he went on to obtaining a MBHI (John is a professional accredited member of the British Horological Institute). There is no better person to take care of your clocks!
There are clocks in every home whether they are beautiful antique pieces or your average regular clock. Antique pieces in particular can be works of art as well as being specialised machines that need that extra love and attention. But overall they all need a little care and maintenance every now and then to keep them working. We at Clock Care Ltd can carry out all types of repairs and replacements to keep them functioning properly. We can restore them back to there former glory!
We are able to provide a full restoration service on all types of clocks – so whether it is big or small, antique or regular, we can help! Our full restoration service includes: cleaning and repairs to mechanisms, resilvering, cleaning and polishing of dials, and polishing or repairing cases.
We are very passionate about clock conservation. We know more than most that clocks need that extra bit of care to keep them working properly especially if they are in constant use. To make sure they keep on working, we can perform clock winding, setting the hands of the clock, restoring striking clocks, and stopping your clocks if you are going away.
