The Old Neptune
We at The Old Neptune are one of only a handful of pubs to be found on a beach across Britain and when we say on the beach, we do really mean it – We’re not next to the beach or by the beach but right on it! We are based in the heart of Whitstable’s charming and popular fishing town and are offering a brilliant choice of local ales, continental lagers, an extensive wine list and wholesome home cooked food for you to savour whilst watching the world famous Whitstable sunsets.
We are very proud of the fact that our menu is full of truly great British pub food, including traditional favourites such as fish & chips, pie & mash and burgers, all freshly made and tasty. You can either eat inside in the warmth or enjoy on the beach watching the waves roll in and the sun shine. During the sunny summer days, we have a beach barbecue which is open serving burgers and hotdogs directly from the beach.
We have a long history as being a live music venue and we are very delighted to continue hosting free music events every Saturday and Sunday from 6pm. The bands we have covers every musical genre from blues, rock ‘n’ roll and soul so there is bound to be something to suit everyone’s tastes. On our Music nights the pub is normally packed to the rafters with everyone having a great time amid a lively atmosphere. And whilst the bands are taking a break or have finished their set, the pub’s infamous jukebox continues the fun! It’s packed with great music including the classics so you are bound to find a few old favourites!
